Adviser, Amadou Birane Mangane, is an artist Rapper representing the “Peul people” found everywhere across the African continent. Thus, we find his fans not only in Mauritania, but also in Senegal, Guinea, Gabon, Mali or Cameroon. The Mauritanian diaspora in France and North America has also fallen under the spell of the young prodigy of Medina R, a neighborhood in downtown Nouakchott.

Amadou Birane Mangane, by his artist-rapper name Adviser, was born and raised in Medina R. This child prodigy of Mauritanian rap is a former member of the famous group BOB Junior. Suffice to say that the young Mauritanian rapper joined the music scene very quickly and became known for his fluid and understandable lyrics, which are undoubtedly full of messages of unity, peace and love.[2]
