AES International Group Plc is a UK headquartered financial services organisation that provides private banking, investment and insurance advice to clients with multi-jurisdictional, offshore, expatriate, or non-domiciled needs.

It was notable as the United Kingdom's fastest-growing financial services firm during both 2011 and 2012.[1] It also ranked as the 11th and 4th fastest growing private UK business of any type in those respective years.[2][3]

History[edit]

The business was founded in 2004 by Sam Instone in Geneva, and relocated to London in 2007 in order to specialise in pan-European MiFID and Insurance Mediation Directive (IMD) business.[4]

AES initially specialised in providing financial services to those within high-risk areas/war zones or employed in hazardous professions, before broadening its reach in 2007 across Europe and the Middle East.[5]

In 2012 AES International structured itself as a public limited company [6] and opened offices in Switzerland [7] and Qatar.[8]

Between 2009 and 2012, the company grew by 2,100% with sales growth of 187.46% p.a. by 2012, when its UK sales reached £11.2 million.

The organisation is known for pioneering a new form of corporate structure and organisation based upon the values, strategies, doctrine and operations of the military which became known as 'militology'.[9] It is also a vocal advocate for the use of international banking platforms over insurance based investment solutions as a means for clients to receive better outcomes.
