Amit Shah (born 13 August 1980) better known by his stage name AG Dolla, is a North London-based rapper and MC. His debut single, "Day Dreamer", was released in June 2005. This was then followed by "My Life In Rhymes" in June 2007. AG Dolla's most recent album, *Mr Shah*, was released in June 2009.

Early life

Amit Shah was born and raised in Kenya and he is of Kenyan origin. He moved to the UK at the age of eight and was brought up in North London where he currently resides. He was educated in North London and finished his education with a degree in Project Management from Sheffield Hallam University, obtaining a 2.1 BA Hons.

Music career

AG Dolla's music career started in 2005. His debut single, "Daydreamer", received over 1000 plays across the UK in its first two weeks of airplay, and the video won the 'Best Video Award'. Since Daydreamer, AG Dolla has released the albums, *My Life In Rhymes* and *Mr. Shah*.[1]

In 2008, AG Dolla won 'Best Male Solo Act' on the Friction Show hosted by Bobby Friction, and was placed onto BBC Radio One's Big Weekender in Mote Park.[2]

Since then, AG Dolla has been nominated for "Best Newcomer" at the UK AMA's in 2009,[3] "Best Urban Act" at the UK AMA's 2010 [3] and most recently "Best Urban Act" at the "Brit Asia Music Awards" 2010.[4][5]

Charity work

AG has worked on many charity projects, including youth projects at Bullwood Hall (HM Prison) and raised £50,000 for UNICEF in 2005.

In 2008, AG worked with Prime Minister Keith Mitchell in Grenada, volunteering for the B.O.D.
