AI effect

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

In Deep Blue versus Kasparov, 1997, Game 6 the AI won. Many believe it is not an interesting AI achievement because it used only "brute force methods".[1]

The AI effect makes someone think that artificial intelligence is not real intelligence. It affects opinions about AI's abilities. It also affects opinions about AI's responsibilities. The AI effect makes any thing an AI does appear to be done by the AI's creators.[2] Rodney Brooks complains: "Every time we figure out a piece of it, it stops being magical; we say, 'Oh, that's just a computation.'"[3] (Rodney Brooks researches this kind of thing.)[3]
