We are already using the vivid application of artificial intelligence - knowingly or unknowingly. The prominent among them are email filtering (user can mark marketing email as spam and its future incoming mails will go to the spam folder), users can personalize their experience and providers like Amazon and Netflix – will provide you the relevant content as per your preference; in banks AI applications are used for fraud detection or taking the note of any suspicious activity, and further, the applications of AI are used in speech recognition and the popular personal assistants are ‘Alexa’ by Amazon and ‘Siri’ by Apple.
The other maximally used personal assistants in use are - Tesla, Cogito, Netflix, Pandora, Nest (Google), Boxever, Echo (Amazon), and Flying Drones. The researchers in the field of artificial intelligence are of the view that in the coming time, a lot more improvement is supposed to be inculcated in the system.
Machine learning – categorization
Machine learning, a subset of artificial intelligence is designed to learn algorithms - and over time machine improves and evolves of its own. Machine learning is further categorized into supervised learning, unsupervised learning, and reinforcement learning. In supervised learning algorithms, the system is made well versed in identifying and classifying animals like dogs, cats, etc. In unsupervised learning, unlabeled data is provided for learning algorithms. This phenomenon is very common on the e-commerce website, where similar items are clubbed together for purchase. Finally comes reinforcement learning, in which the designed algorithms is subjected to interact with the dynamic environment, by and by providing feedback in terms of punishment and rewards. Further, the new machine learning techniques are layered network, which is also called deep learning. It runs through the specified architecture of a neural network that is exclusively a biologically inspired attribute. Here, self-driving cars and drones are the best examples to illustrate the phenomenon.

Machine learning follows a cross-disciplinary approach, including vivid disciplines and genera such as computer science, mathematics, psychology, linguistics, information engineering, surface chemistry, bioinformatics, philosophy, operation research, software engineering, and more. The applications of artificial intelligence are endless – ranging from space research to robotic surgery. Everywhere, AI has contributed a lot in bringing rewarding results with an absolute level of preciseness and accuracy.
