Ang National Coalition for Indigenous Peoples is a partylist in the Philippines participating in the party-list elections in the Philippines. It represents the Indigenous peoples of the Philippines. In the 2016 elections, ANAC-IP was elected to the 17th Congress with one seat.[1]
History[edit]
Formed in 1993, the ANAC-IP Partylist was created by former members of the Cordillera Budong Administration and former members of the Cordillera Executive Board, who belong to various indigenous peoples of the Cordilleras. The founders were part of the group of people who advocated for the creation of Cordillera Administrative Region as well as for the enactment of the Indigenous Peoples Rights Act of 1997.[2]
