#APPolonovGang is a Russian-German pop group founded in 2018. The group consists of two artists: Grey Wiese and Andrei Grigoryev-Appolonov Jr.[1][2][3][4]
History[edit]
In June 2018, Andrei and Grey released the first joint single “Me and You”. A month later a video of the same name was released, where the main role was played by Alexandra Kutsevol - the civil wife of Oleg Yakovlev.[5][6][7] The video scored more than a million views on YouTube, and the song stayed on the Russian iTunes chart for several weeks, rising to 4th place.[8][9][10]
In September 2018, the musicians officially presented the #AppolonovGang band to the public and released the video “Likes Brands”.[11][12]
The first public performance of AppolonovGang took place in the fall of 2018 at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Russia.[13] The live broadcast of the performance went to more than 30 countries of the world.[14]
In November 2018, the composition Deja Vu, written by Sia and Giorgio Moroder, was released.[15][16] The television premiere of the composition Deja Vu took place on January 24, 2019 on the TNT channel in Russia.[17]
In 2019, #APPolonovGang released the track “Happiest” together with the label Monolit Publishing House.[18] In an interview with Moskovsky Komsomolets, Grey and Andrei admitted that the track "The Happiest" was written as a hymn for LGBT society.[13][19]
On September 28, 2019, a scandalous concert took place in one of the nightclubs in Sochi as part of the Formula 1 Russian Grand Prix.[20] According to numerous sources, Grey and Andrey acted as if they were not only connected by a working relationship.[21][22][23][24][25] Because of what, the duet was immediately called new " T.A.T.U", but in a masculine way. According to eyewitnesses, young people openly held hands, dedicated songs to each other.
They openly criticized "the Russian anti-gay law", also on the live television channel Duma TV.[26]

Sergey Grigorev-Appolonov (Russian: Сергей Григорьев-Апполонов), known professionally as Grey Wiese, is a German singer-songwriter and television personality. Currently lives in Baden-Baden.[27]
