AVSystem is a Poland-based international software house specializing in delivery of software and services to Telecom and Enterprise Markets. The company specializes mainly in tools for management, provisioning and monitoring of telecommunications environments. As of 2016, AVSystem employs more than 100 people. Although it operates worldwide,[4] its HQ and RnD Department are still located in Kraków, Poland.

History[edit]

After being established in 2006, AVSystem's main focus was related to setup and configuration of VoIP environments. The company’s own software and hardware was sold under the brand name VoiceIP and included VoiceIP PBX– enterprise grade voice communication branch exchange as well as six types of CPEs ranging from simple single port ATA up to multi-port residential gateways with VoIP termination capability.

Based on the amount of work related to management of the terminal equipment as well as combining sets of delivered services, decision has been taken to start the development of tools aiding in such operations.[5] From the very beginning, the design was vendor agnostic (allowing for integration of multiple types of devices as well as technologies under a single system). In the late 2007, TR-069 was chosen as a main protocol utilized by the platform, which brought along the change of the product’s name from VoiceIP APS (Automatic Provisioning System) to VoiceIP ACS.

While VoiceIP ACS was awarded a gold medal during the exhibition “Infosystem 2007” located in Poznań, Poland [6] the company’s product portfolio was extended with VoiceIP SMG – subscriber and service management module for VoiceIP ACS.

In the early 2008, with the first version of LibCWMP being released, cooperation with device manufacturers has been started.

The year 2010 brought implementation of the management system by the first Tier 1 operator – Netia.[7]

The years 2010-2013 also included rapid development and growth of both solutions and the company itself. As more and more focus was put on management in data networks, the products (ACS and SMG) were merged and rebranded to AVSystem Unified Device Management Platform, which is used till today. AVSystem’s products are introduced by multiple operators world-wide.[8] The company’s growth resulted in the need to relocate from a small original office to current HQ building.

Linkyfi was introduced in 2014. In 2015 AVSystem expanded its field of activity to M2M and IoT related development,[9] resulting in introduction of AVSystem Coiote.[10][11]
