AZA Finance became the new parent of BitPesa in October 2019[2], with the latter being founded in Nairobi in 2013. AZA now has offices in Lagos, London, Luxembourg, Madrid, and Dakar. AZA's founder and CEO, Elizabeth Rossiello was driven to build solutions that reduce the cost of cross-border transactions in Africa which eventually grew into easing the treasury functions for companies[3][4].

AZA also raised $15 million in debt financing from the DBSA (Development Bank of Southern Africa) along with the rebranding[5]

TransferZero[edit]

TransferZero is AZA's B2B2C product. It grew from the API offering upon the purchase of TransferZero in January of 2015. TransferZero enables companies such as money transfer organizations to integrate their services, trade and allow their customers to send money to end users in Nigeria, Uganda, Morocco, Ghana, Tanzania, Senegal, EU and the UK.

BFX[edit]

BFX is a B2B over-the-counter platform for businesses paying partners and suppliers across borders. Settlement is done through bank accounts in Nigeria, Uganda, Ghana, Senegal, EU and the UK.
