A Date at the Tower [1] is a 1962 Egyptian film directed by Ezzel Dine Zulficar and starring Salah Zulfikar and Soad Hosny. The film combines drama, action, and romance, reflecting Egyptian society in the early 1960s. It culminates with the two main characters meeting at the newly built Cairo Tower.[2]

Plot[edit]

Adel and Amaal meet on a ship bound for Alexandria, both attempting to steal jewels from a wealthy elderly woman. They fall in love and agree to meet at the Cairo Tower after six months. Despite challenges, including Amaal's brother Alaa trying to force her into stealing, they eventually reunite and marry. The film ends with them meeting at the Cairo Tower and going on a honeymoon to Europe.[3]
