A Father's Legacy (previously titled The Old Man and the Pond[1]) is a 2021 American drama film written & directed by Jason Mac. It stars Tobin Bell and Jason Mac in the lead roles. The film is about a young man that sets out to find the father he never knew. A Father's Legacy was theatrically released on June 17, 2021 and belongs to the production companys Forever Safe Productions and Pondhouse Productions. [2]
Plot[edit]
An inspirational story of family, loyalty and redemption. After years of searching for his father, a young man, on the run from the law, finds his way into the life of a secluded old man Tobin Bell in the woods. As the days go by and secrets about their past are revealed, they realize they may not have been looking for each other but they were brought together for a reason.[3]

The film was announced in October 2018, with Tobin Bell cast in the lead role and filming around Sumter, South Carolina.[4]
Release[edit]
The film was originally supposed to be released under the name The Old Man and the Pond, but it was renamed later. The film was released theatrically in the United States on 17 June 2021 through Fathom Events.
Reception[edit]
Review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes reports that 71% ratings critics gave the film a positive review, with a rating average of 6.60/10.[5]
