A Lower Power is a 2009 American feature film and the feature directorial debut of Robert O'Geen, written and produced by Tim Bland about a young gay man torn between his rejection of his hedonistic parents and his own emerging sexual desires.
The film premiered at the 2009 Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival and was acquired by TLA Releasing in 2011.
Reception
Bob Green of Honolulu Weekly called the film "Funny, engaging and believable, A Lower Power is a refreshing gay coming-of-age movie, smartly written and well-acted."
Release
In 2011, the film was acquired by TLA Releasing and given an X Rating for "nudity and sexual situations intended for adult audiences".[1]
