Aalambana is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language fantasy comedy film directed by debutant Pari K Vijay and produced by Kotapadi J. Rajesh under the banner KJR Studios and co-produced by Koustubh Entertainment.[1][2] The film stars Vaibhav and Parvati Nair with a supporting cast including Munishkanth, Yogi Babu, Anandaraj, Kabir Duhan Singh, Kaali Venkat and Robo Shankar.[3] The film's music is composed by Hiphop Tamizha, with cinematography handled by Vinoth Rathinasamy and editing done by San Lokesh.

Production
In November 2019, Vaibhav Reddy was cast to play the lead role in the film produced by KJR Studios and directed by a newcomer Pari K Vijay who earlier worked as an assistant in films like Mundasupatti (2014) and Indru Netru Naalai (2015).[1] Munishkanth was roped in to play the role of a Genie and the film was said to be a fantasy comedy genre.[4] Parvati Nair was cast in the film as the female lead opposite to Vaibhav.[3] Principal photography began with a pooja ceremony on 14 December 2019 in MGR Film City.[5] The film was shot in Mysore Palace, Chennai and Pondicherry and completed the entire shooting in January 2021.[6] It was said to be the costliest film in Vaibhav's career.[7]
Soundtrack
The soundtrack and score is composed by Hiphop Tamizha and the album featured two songs. The audio rights were acquired by Sony Music India.

Release
Marketing
The first look of the film was launched on 12 March 2021 and it featured Vaibhav sporting Aladdin's look and Munishkanth as his Genie.[8] The teaser of the film was released on 14 December 2021 with the plotline which followed a royal family that loses their fortune after the birth of the protagonist.[9]
