Aarav Garg was born in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh on 30 January 2006 to Pankaj Kumar Garg and Pallavi Garg. His family moved to Hyderabad when he was a toddler. He began his schooling at Sister Nivedita School, Hyderabad, and then switched to FIITJEE in his junior year of high school (11th grade). He is currently pursuing the senior year of high school (12th grade) at FIITJEE in Hyderabad.[3]

Career[edit]

Aarav started his journey with technology as a student in grade five who was introduced to computer programming for the very first time in his school. He built his first robot at the age of 10 by watching video tutorials on the internet.[4]

Tech Nuttiez[edit]

Aarav is the founder and CEO of Tech Nuttiez, a company based at Hyderabad that has built a platform for school students to learn about robotics and programming. Aarav started Tech Nuttiez as a YouTube channel in 2018. He started uploading video tutorials about building robots on the channel and began gaining traction. In 2021, he wanted to create impact at a larger scale and registered Tech Nuttiez as an official startup in Telangana. Tech Nuttiez claims to have helped many students from around the world learn about robotics and programming.[5]

Innovator Access Fellowship[edit]

In 2022, Aarav launched a social initiative as a part of Tech Nuttiez called the Innovator Access Fellowship.[6] Through the program, the team raised funds through crowdfunding and distributed grants worth ₹50,000 to five young inventors based at Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The program was backed by Telangana Government, T-Hub and Telangana State Innovation Cell.[7]

Recognition[edit]

Aarav's work was recognised by K. T. Rama Rao, Telangana Minister for Municipal Administration & Urban Development, Industries & Commerce, and Information Technology, early in 2022 when Aarav demonstrated his innovations and his mobile app to the minister.[8] His work was also recognised by Andrew Fleming who, at the time, was the British Deputy High Commissioner to Hyderabad.[9]
