Aathma Patrick is an Indian actor and editor who works primarily in Tamil cinema. He has portrayed negative roles in several films due to his height of 6'6".[1] After playing minor roles in several films, he played a notable role in Johnny (2018).[1]
Career
Aathma Patrick began his career as an editor for twenty low-key films before he made his acting debut with Meaghamann (2014) in which he portrayed one among the seven villains.[2][1][3] He was subsequently signed to portray negative roles in several films including Yennai Arindhaal, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, Kathakali,[4] and Theri.[3][5] He landed a role in Yennai Arindhal after Gautham Menon was looking for a tall man to play a negative role.[3] In Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, he portrayed one of Anandaraj's henchmen.[6] After seeing his performance in Thappu Thanda, he was cast to play a role in the Telugu film, Janatha Garage (2016) by the makers of the film.[2] He played one of the leads in the low budget Maya Bhavanam (2018).[6] The film is set in 1936 and he portrays a king.[5] He spoke in ancient Tamil for the film.[5] He was cast as Vijay's friend in Bigil (2019).[2]
