Abacus Solutions is a provider of information technology infrastructure solutions.[3] Abacus Solutions specializes in the areas of virtualization, enterprise storage and archival, comprehensive networking, digital records retention, reselling new and refurbished servers, as well as storage and networking products.[4]

Corporate history[edit]

Abacus Solutions was founded in July 2000 in Atlanta by business partners Patrick Hiller[5] and Ken Snuggs.[6] It is a private company headquartered in Marietta, Georgia, having relocated to its present location in 2006.[7] In July 2010, Abacus Solutions celebrated ten years in business[8] by broadening their services to include a multimillion dollar Value-added reseller (VAR) of IT infrastructure solutions. Abacus Solutions was named a top reseller[9] by CRN’s 2010 VAR 500 magazine for a seventh year in a row. In 2013 Abacus was listed as number 279 on CRN's Solution's Provider list.

For two years in a row, Abacus has been awarded the Atlanta Journal Constitution's Top Workplaces. In 2012 Abacus placed #13 and moved up to #7 in 2013 in the "Small Business" category.

Abacus has over thirty partnerships with IT manufacturers. These include Aerohive, Airwatch, Artec, Aruba, Bradford Networks, Brocade, Centerity, Check Point, Citrix, Commvault, Dell, EMC, Hitachi, IBM, Lenovo, NetApp, Oracle, Red Hat, Riverbed, SAP, Silver Peak, Symantec, Trend Micro, Veeam, and VMware.

Abacus also resells refurbished hardware. Abacus also offers professional and managed services.

In June, 2013 Abacus attended the Hosting Con tradeshow in Austin, TX. There they showcased their line of refurbished Cisco products.

In May 2011, Abacus partnered with Artec and Nexsan at Interop in Las Vegas, Nevada to demonstrate the next generation E-mail archiving solution, Enterprise Managed Archive (EMA).[10] This is a universal appliance that archives an organization’s digital records, ensuring that companies meet all legal requirements and guidelines, making them available through one central archive.

Memberships & Philanthropy[edit]

Abacus Solutions is a member of the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG).[11] They also support Techbridge and various other charities such charities as Computers for Youth and Must Ministries.[12]
