Corporate history[edit]

Abacus Solutions was founded in July 2000 in Atlanta by business partners Patrick Hiller[5] and Ken Snuggs.[6] It is a private company headquartered in Marietta, Georgia, having relocated to its present location in 2006.[7] In July 2010, Abacus Solutions celebrated ten years in business[8] by broadening their services to include a multimillion dollar Value-added reseller (VAR) of IT infrastructure solutions. Abacus Solutions was named a top reseller[9] by CRN’s 2010 VAR 500 magazine for a seventh year in a row. In 2013 Abacus was listed as number 279 on CRN's Solution's Provider list.

For two years in a row, Abacus has been awarded the Atlanta Journal Constitution's Top Workplaces. In 2012 Abacus placed #13 and moved up to #7 in 2013 in the "Small Business" category.

In May 2011, Abacus partnered with Artec and Nexsan at Interop in Las Vegas, Nevada to demonstrate the next generation E-mail archiving solution, Enterprise Managed Archive (EMA).[10] This is a universal appliance that archives an organization’s digital records, ensuring that companies meet all legal requirements and guidelines, making them available through one central archive.
