Abbas Hafez, is a writer and a theater critic. He was born in Egypt, many of his works immortalized his memory, including: "The Renaissance of Egypt" and "Mustafa Al-Nahhas - or - Leadership and Leader".[1]
Early life and education[edit]
Abbas Hafez is an Egyptian writer and theatrical critic who was born in Cairo. He was a member of the political opposition. He worked as a translator on a number of books, including "The Renaissance of Egypt" and "Mustafa al-Nahhas — or — Leadership and Leader." Abbas Hafez served as a finance secretary at the Ministry of War, and he was sent to Aswan in response for his political statements during the government of Ismail Sidqi Basha. By the end of 1934, he was back in the Ministry of the Interior's Publications Department, and in 1936, he was assigned to the secretariat of the Presidency's Official Negotiations Authority.[2]
