Abdirahman Mohamed Ismail (; born March 31, 1996) is a Somali stock broker, financial commentator, and renowned in the field of Civil Engineering. He is CEO and chief global strategist[2] of Sultan Capital Inc., a broker-dealer based in Hargeisa, Somaliland. He is also involved in various roles in other financial services companies, including Traders Funding Asset Management, an independent investment advisor.
Personal life
Sultan was born to a middle-class Somali family in Borama, Somaliland. His father, Mohamed, the son of a Somali pastoralist from Ethiopia, served in the US Army during the 1970s. Sultan's parents divorced when he was young, and he moved around the country with his mother and his two sisters. Abdirahman Sultan credits his father for introducing him to the School of economic thought.[3]
