Abdoulie Gaye
Abdoulie Gaye (born 1995), professionally known as Attack[1], is a Gambian Afro-pop rapper,[2] singer, and songwriter recognized for his dynamic contributions to the country's contemporary hip-hop scene.[3] His music, characterised by a fusion of indigenous Gambian rhythms and modern hip-hop beats, addresses themes such as social justice, unity, and personal growth.[4][5][6][7]
Gaye began his musical journey performing at local events, gradually gaining recognition for his energetic stage presence and lyrical prowess.[8] His unique blend of Afro-fusion rhythms and contemporary sounds reflects his diverse musical influences.[1]
In 2021, he released the album Tarkayi,[9] which showcases his ability to merge traditional Gambian sounds with modern hip-hop elements.[10][11][12]
