Abdul Bari (born September 29, 1975) is a professional in Indonesia. He was appointed by Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir as the Director of Institutional Affairs and Services at PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia, and he also serves on the Strategic Initiative Committee Team of the Indonesia Financial Group.[1]
Education and Career[edit]
Abdul Bari was born in Subang, West Java, on September 29, 1975. He pursued his undergraduate studies at Muhammadiyah University of Jakarta, majoring in Public Health. He then earned his master's degrees from Soegijapranata Catholic University, specializing in Health Law, and from STIE Bisnis Indonesia, specializing in Human Resource Management. He completed his doctoral studies in Human Resource Management at State University of Jakarta.[2]
He holds various certifications from international institutions. He received Strategic Decision Making certification from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business in 2023 and 2024, Digital Marketing: Strategies, Models, and Frameworks from the National University of Singapore in 2022, Strategy Execution from Harvard Business School in 2021, and AI for Business from the Wharton University of Pennsylvania in 2021.[3]
Abdul Bari commenced his career as a General Manager at AXA Assistance Indonesia (AXA Group) from 2001 to 2014. He served as a Commissioner at a joint venture state-owned company between PT Waskita Karya and PT Pembangunan Perumahan, along with Pelindo. He then joined Jaminan Kredit Indonesia in 2015 and assumed the role of Corporate Secretary in 2017. He was later appointed as the Director of Institutional Affairs and Services in 2022.[4][5][6]

In 2020, he was honored as one of the Top 40 PR Persons by Public Relation Indonesia. He was awarded The Best Corporate Secretary by BusinessNews Magazine in 2020, 2021, and 2022. Furthermore, he received The Best Corporate Secretary at the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) and Performance Excellence Award in 2020, and was recognized as a Top Next Leader in 2023 by Infobank Magazine.[5][7][8][9]
