Abdulkader Abdulwahid Shareef (June 20, 1944) is a Tanzanian politician and diplomat. He was born in Vikokotoni, Zanzibar and was educated in local primary and secondary schools. He moved to Medina in 1967 to pursue further education on Islamic Sharia, then achieved a PhD at The University of London in 1974.

He was the ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, United Arab Emirates and Pakistan, based in Riyadh from 1990 to 1995; the high commissioner to London, United Kingdom from 1995 to 2000.

After his foreign service, he moved back to Tanzania to become a member of parliament and held the Deputy Foreign Minister position.

After retiring from politics, Shareef has become a well-known Islamic preacher and author across East Africa, mainly Tanzania and Comoros. He has published various books about the Islamic Sharia, a further explanation on the Pillars of Islam and more, and a brief explanation on Pilgrimage.
