Abhikalpan, is the Youth festival of Faculty of Social Sciences, Banaras Hindu University. Usually held towards the mid of February every year, it is considered as one of Varanasi's largest college Youth Festivals, and often one of the biggest of its kind in the BHU.
Brief Introduction
Abhikalpan is the Annual Youth fest of Faculty of Social Sciences – Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, a week-long carnival held amidst the heart of Benaras city i.e BHU, Asia’s largest residential university [1] and India’s 3rd ranked university for consecutively three times (NIRF).[2] A blissful stage which gives every talent a platform to showcase their talents with its activities carried out throughout the year through various events at the sprawling vibrant green campus as well as around the city, Varanasi. Given the past records of unparalleled success, BHU introduces Abhikalpan 2020 with the theme “Nurturing Nature with Innovation”. The previous edition, Kalpana Patowary performed at Abhikalpan 2019 to celebrate Dr Bhupen Hazarika. [3]
