Abhishek Yadav also known as Anshul Yadav is an Indian politician and leader of Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh.[1][2][3][4] He is currently serving as Chairman of Zila Panchayat, Etawah district since 14 January 2016 having won twice i.e. in 2016 and again in 2021.[5][6][7][8]

Abhishek Yadav is the nephew of former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mulayam Singh Yadav and cousin brother of Akhilesh Yadav, President of Samajwadi Party.[9][10]

Early life[edit]

He was born on 29 September 1987 in Saifai village in Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh to Rajpal Singh Yadav and Premlata Yadav.[11] Rajpal Singh Yadav is the younger brother of former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mulayam Singh Yadav.[12]

Career[edit]

Abhishek Yadav campaigned for Mulayam Singh Yadav in the year 2007 for his legislative assembly election from Bharthana where he had a comfortable win. In the parliamentary election of 2009, he campaigned for his cousin brother Dharmendra Yadav for Badaun Lok Sabha. He came at the active political front in the year 2010 when he aggressively campaigned for his mother (Mrs. Premlata Yadav), who was running for District Council election for seeking the second consecutive term.[13]

He was further given responsibilities by the Samajwadi Party in 2012 assembly elections to campaign in constituencies in and around Etawah district. In 2014, he campaigned in Etawah, Badaun, Mainpuri and Azamgarh Lok Sabha constituencies for his party. In 2017 (UP Assembly) and 2019 (Lok Sabha) he was appointed as Samajwadi Party's star-campaigner whereby he campaigned in various districts of Uttar Pradesh.

All family members of Mulayam Singh Yadav including Akhilesh, Dimple, Shivpal and Abhishek Yadav cast their vote in 2022 UP assembly elections in Saifai for Jaswantnagar seat.[14]

Personal life[edit]

Abhishek Yadav is married to Mrs. Sweety Yadav since 2013 and the couple has 1 son and 1 daughter. He has a younger brother Aryan Yadav.[16]
