Abraham Horwitz Award
The Abraham Horwitz Award for Excellence in Leadership in Inter-American Public Health given by the former PAHO Foundation[1] was created in 1975, and annually recognizes leadership that has improved people's health and lives in the Americas.
The award is presented in honor of Dr. Abraham Horwitz, the former director of the Pan American Health Organization and former president of PAHO Foundation.[2]
