Absolutdata was founded by Anil Kaul, former consultant for McKinsey, along with Sudeshna Datta, and Suhale Kapoor.

In 2012, Fidelity Growth Partners India committed to a $20 million investment in Absolutdata.[4] In March 2017, Absolutdata added AI based decision making platform.[5]
