Absolute tonny
Absolute Tonny is a Ugandan jazz artist who plays trumpet, born 1994/September/18th, son of Kaggwa Charles and Nanyiti Resty, whose real name is Musaazi Tonny. He started playing music at St. Andrew Primary School Mutundwe, where he joined the school brass band, thereafter joining M-Lisada brass band in Nsambya. His love for music took him to join church music and orchestra music, where he played in the Kampala Symphony Orchestra. The love for music pushed him to join night bands, where he played with numerous bands in Kampala, including Baxmba Waves.
Absolute Tonny, also sometimes referred to as Tonny Trumpet, has been instrumental in developing jazz music in Uganda by inspiring many more trumpeters to take on jazz. Absolute Tonny has played in countries like Rwanda, USA, Japan, Uganda, Kenya, Zanzibar, and has shared stage with artists like MYA, Richard Bona, Kirk Whalum. ABSOLUTE TONNY has also blessed the Jazz Safari concerts with his music and other concerts around the globe. The artist is a certified artist who is signed by Caguama Records. The jazz artist has released three albums: Oliwange Jazz Album 2017, Do Me Good EP 2019, and the recent new album Tindiga Town Trek Jazz EP 2021.
