Biography
Lachlan Sallabank was born in Melbourne, Australia, on September 5, 2001. In his early life, Sallabank was introduced to music through learning to play drums, and soon developed a fascination for Pop Punk and Hip Hop Music. His favourite artists at the time included Green Day, Eminem, and Bliss n Eso[1].
Sallabank began to make his entry into the music industry in his mid teens, becoming connected with various well known local rappers and musicians, whilst developing his songwriting skills by writing raps and recording them at his home in suburban Melbourne. During this period, Sallabank began releasing his first songs to his following on Soundcloud and YouTube, whilst sharing them with his friends from school.
Through his late teens, Sallabank struggled with mental health and other life events which affected his ability to make music. However, he continued to write songs on the topic of mental health and trauma, using it as an outlet for his stress[2]. As this period in his life passed, Sallabank began extending his songwriting to cover more genres such as Pop Rap and Pop Punk, which is his current creative direction for his music.
Since his move away from rap, Acchy has surpassed 150,000 streams on Spotify[3] and other streaming platforms, been played on national radio[4][5], featured in music news outlets[6], and played shows in his home city of Melbourne.
