Release and Reception[edit]
A trailer for the film was released in 2018[4] The film was released on DVD in July 2020. Mark Haberfelner stated that 'one can't but love Acid Pit Stop for its unapologetic B-movie approach, paired with plenty of humour that especially regarding the film's subject matter stays largely clear of the gross-out variety, all carried by a light-footed directorial effort'.[3] In contrast, Brandon Streussnig stated that the film 'has a fun enough premise that never fully materializes because it's stunted from the outset by awful filmmaking and an unwillingness to even try to do something interesting'.[5] Jim Morazzini described it as 'a decent entry in a crowded field' of zombie horror films.[6] Tom Von Malder described the film as 'bad' and 'amateurish'.[7] Paul Gaita stated that the film 'delivers standard-issue zombie action mixed with broad laughs, many of which play funnier in the gag reel that rolls under the credits; if you want blood, you get it here, but if you ask more from your living dead movies, you have many, many other choices'.[8] Another reviewer stated that 'the film dies as quick as the dancers for most of its running time'.[9]
