ActNowVR is a live Virtual reality experience and global festival campaign.[1] in support of the United Nations' ActNow campaign [2] for individual action on Climate change and Sustainability.

The virtual reality campaign is managed Millennium Arts Inc. and Dreamland LLC [3], with support of the United Nations and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and partners [4], in support of the United Nation's ActNow campaign.

The events virtualize globally iconic cultural or natural landmarks with immersive educational content and virtual onsite staff to help inform, educate, and elevate all who wish to participate in a sustainable future.

The ActNowVR event-supported languages are the official languages of the United Nations. These languages are Arabic, Mandarin, English, French, Russian, and Spanish, with support through polyglots present in the virtual reality space to translate and provide information to visitors and participants.

Mission[edit]

In support of the United Nations and UNESCO ActNow Campaign, the ActNow virtual reality experience will unveil a new digital twin of an iconic cultural or natural landmark across all global regions (Middle East, North America, Latin America, Africa, Asia, Europe, and Oceana) where participants will learn about different climate threats, SDG actions, and solutions, while celebrating a different UN International Day.

Each of these immersive live events incorporates a mix of narrative content, panel discussions, and performances - as well as portals to the past, present, and future - to illuminate urgent issues surrounding climate change and sustainability. Participants of these events automatically contribute to elevating ambition, accelerating action, and helping track individual and collective action made towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
