Adam David Gilmour (born January 29, 1994) is an American professional ice hockey forward. He is currently playing with the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL) as a prospect to the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected by the Wild in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft (4th round, 98th overall).
Playing career[edit]
Gilmour played for the Muskegon Lumberjacks in the 2012–13 campaign, scoring 19 goals and dishing out 28 assists in 64 USHL contests. Before enrolling at Boston College, he attended the Minnesota Wild development camp in July 2013.[1] In his three-year college career, Gilmour played 119 games for the BC Eagles, collecting 28 goals and 45 assists.
On April 11, 2016, Gilmour put pen to paper on a two-year entry-level contract with the Minnesota Wild of the NHL.[2] His contract started with the 2016-17 season and he joined Minnesota’s AHL affiliate Iowa Wild on an amateur tryout agreement on April 14, 2016,[3] making his professional debut in the AHL the following day against the Chicago Wolves.[4]
