Adebayo Tijani is a filmmaker, director, and actor. Tijani is said to be one of the highest-paid film directors in Yoruba Nollywood.[1][2]

Early life[edit]

Tijani was born in 24 March 1975. He is from Agbole Alubata in Oyo State.[citation needed] Adebayo Tijani attended primary and secondary school in Oyo State and earned a National Diploma in Survey and Geo-Formatics Engineering from the Federal School of Surveying in Oyo Town. Adebayo Tijani married Folashade Adebayo, a lawyer, in 2012.[3][4]

Career[edit]

In the early 2000s, Tijani was the President of a theatre group, and he began acting and producing films.[4] Tijani has produced films such as Apesin, Iranse Aje, Abegbe, Ogun Aiku and The New Patriots.[5] In 2002, he released his first film, Durosinmi. Adebayo Tijani won the AMAA award in 2006 and 2008.[6] Since then, he has remained active and relevant in the Yoruba cinema industry, producing a lot of films.[7] In 2016, he co-starred in the critically acclaimed romance thriller Oku Aye.[8][unreliable source?]
