Admiralty Sloboda, also Sea Quarters is name is used to apply to territory within sand bank of fish recycling factory and place where was the crossing of Nekrasovsky avenue[1] with Pushkina street and Shevchenko street in Taganrog in Rostov oblast.

History[edit]

As of condition on 4th December 1775 according to documents in Taganrog had already functioned Admiralty. During the rule of Catherine 2[2] in the territory of sand spit had already functioned forge with 20 forging horns. Near the forge were workhops' premises where were plumbing, lantern's work and machinary with secret.

In the territory of Admiralty Sloboda were built special mast's sheds and other premises, which were used for keeping supplies, cannon machines and rigging. Boat workshops were above breakage. It were intended for keeping boats and some another kind of seagoing ships. Special premises for keeping forest were built. There was a special sail workshop where were envisaged cellar with sea provision. On the left side from descent was built house of chief commander on the right side port office carved workshop and guardhouse were located.
