Adrienne Cowan is one of the founders, lead singer, and primary songwriter of the symphonic metal band Seven Spires. Due to a prolific writing phase during the CoVid-19 lockdowns from early 2020 until late 2021, her band produced an 80 minute studio album.[1] and a lot of social media that has allowed her to gather momentum as a recognized vocalist on the metal scene[2] with a significant following, topping 4 million views on YouTube as of late 2022[3]
Adrienne's vocalization style is a mix of brutal voice, also referred to as death growl, with clean voice in mezzo registers. Adrienne is known for a variable range of growling registers while also possessing a broad singing vocal range[4]. Adrienne steers away from the operettic vocal style of other symphonic metal bands with female leads like Nightwish, opting instead for a blend of growling and sometime pop-like vocal style, for example in the song Lightbringer.
Adrienne's writing style blends a fictional narrative, referred to as the band's lore - which forms a continuous story across all of the bands albums - with elements of Adrienne's own personality, according to the band's website
Other projects include the international metal band Sascha Paeth's Masters of Ceremony and Winds of Plague.
