Aella is an American sexual researcher, writer, blogger and sex worker.[1]
As summarized by David Auerbach, she "has written extensively about the psychology and economics of online sex work, conducting extensive surveys and research in order to lay out the ecosystem of online sex workers."[2] In 2023, Aella appeared on the Lex Fridman podcast.[3]
In a 2022 retrospective, Aella stated that she had showered only 37 times in the entire year, which averages to one shower every ten days, in order not to disturb her "natural skin microbiome".[4]
