Afaq Shikhli (25 June, 1969) was Azerbaijani Physician, writer, publicist, translator, member of the International Writers and Journalists Association, the Eurasian Writers Union, the Writers Union of Russia and Azerbaijan, a member of the Russian Academy of Poetry and the Union of Journalists of Azerbaijan. Since January 2015, she has been the head of the Moscow bureau of the Writers Union of Azerbaijan.
Life[edit]
Afaq Shikhli was born in Baku, Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan SSR, the family of scientists in Baku, the capital of the Azerbaijani SSR. She is originally from the village of Ikindji-Shikhli in the Kazakh region, from the Shikhlinsky family. In 1984, at the age of 15, she graduated from the 12th High School with a gold medal and then transferred to the Faculty of Second Prevention of the Nerimanov Medical University of Azerbaijan. She graduated with honors from the Second Faculty of Prophylaxis in 1990 and worked as a physician-therapist in the fifth department of TSH, number 15, until 2000.
She currently lives in Moscow, Russia.Since 2011 the Association of International Writers and Publicists, since 2012 the Eurasian Writers Union [3] , the Russian Writers' Union and the Russian Academy of Poetry [4] və Rusiya Poeziya Akademiyasının [5] , she has been a member of the Union of Journalists of Azerbaijan since 2013[6]
