African Stand is an online Africa news site that offers Latest African Breaking News[1], Top Stories in Politics, Business[2], Sports, Entertainment, culture and news updates from around the World.

African Stand is an independent online news site, established in 2018 for the purpose of presenting balanced coverage of events, and promoting the best interests of Africa.

It owes allegiance to no political party, ethnic community, religious or other interested groups. Its primary commitment is to the integrity and sovereignty of the Federation of Kenya, and beyond that to the unity and sovereignty of Africa.

African Stand[3] is a liberal online news site, committed to the best traditions and ideals of republican democracy. It believes that it is the responsibility of the African continent not only to protect, but also to create the conditions, political, social, economic and cultural, in which all Africans may achieve their highest potential as human beings.

It is committed to the principle of individual freedom, but believes that all Africans have duties as well as rights with a daily[4] publication of news articles from around the continent with its main offices in Nairobi Kenya.

African Stand[5] does not, in principle, object to the ideology of free enterprise, since this would be inconsistent with its commitment to individual liberty and freedom.

But it believes that Africa must intervene judiciously in the economic life of the continent, in order to minimise the adverse effects of free enterprise and ensure that less privileged citizens have reasonable and fair access to the basic necessities of life.

African Stand believes that Africa is a legitimate continent that The African Union recognizes 54 countries while the United Nations recognizes 54 as well.

The President of Global Media, Amadou Mahtar Ba, is a member of the International Advisory Board of the African Press Organization.
