From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Established in Benin City, Nigeria, in 2012 by Charles Oronsaye,[1][2] Africana Couture is a menswear bespoke brand known for its clientele, which includes former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Vice-president Yemi Osinbanjo, and notable personalities such as Djimon Hounsou, Jim Iyke, and Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.[3][4][5]

Advocacy Through Style[edit]

Utilising its substantial social media presence and fashion campaigns, Africana Couture promotes themes of peace[6][7] across the African continent and aims to contribute to the normalisation of kaftans, traditional Nigerian menswear tunics, and pants.[8][9][10]

International Acclaim[edit]

Africana Couture has garnered attention from major international publications, including Forbes magazine[2] and GQ magazine,[11] where the brand is recognised as a prominent player in Nigeria's menswear industry.

Contribution to Nigerian Healthcare[edit]

On December 10, 2023, during the Africana Experience Live, Charles Oronsaye announced the birth of the Africana 17 Charitable Foundation.[12] The initiative seeks to assist underprivileged communities by raising funds for two dialysis machines at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital.[13]
