Aftershock PC is a custom personal computer manufacturer specializing in gaming computers, and workstations. Founded in 2012 in Singapore, the company has since expanded its operations to Australia and other markets.
History
Aftershock PC was founded by twin brothers, Marcus Wee and Joe Wee with initial funding of $150,000.[4] [5] Marcus identified an opportunity to simplify personal computer building for gamers in Signapore and founded the company in 2012, with Joe later joining him to support the venture. [6] The company initially focused on gaming laptops tailored to individuals needs, before it diversified its product offerings to desktop computers and workstations.[7]
In 2014, Aftershock PC expanded into Malaysia, launching its gaming laptops in the country.[8] The company served as Clevo's exclusive direct partner for Singapore and Malaysia. [9] In 2015, Aftershock PC was among the first manufacturers to release a gaming laptop featuring Intel’s sixth-generation Skylake processor through a partnership with Intel. [10]
In 2018, Aftershock PC entered the Australian market, establishing operations in Melbourne[11]. In 2021, the company opened a new headquarters in Melbourne, Australia.[12] In 2023, the company's Melbourne facility sustained flood damage, disrupting operations. However, the company successfully recovered and resumed its activities.[13]
