Agent (stylised as AGENT) is a Belarusian electronica band formed in 2018. The current band members are Vlad Mevisus (lead vocals, songwriting and production), Yulia Dmitrieva (vocals), Egor Efremov (vocals and songwriting) and Anniele (vocals). They released their debut album Satellites in 2021.
History
2016–2019: Formation
Mevisus and Dmitrieva formed a music band Granny Nina & the Diamonds in July 2016. The project released two albums: Stereo (2017) and Generation (II) (2018). Dmitrieva left the band due to disagreements with Mevisus in April 2017. Mevisus continued to work as the only member until his departure in August 2018.
Since Autumn 2018, Dmitrieva joined Mevisus to write and record new songs as Nina. They were joined by interim members: Layne Blank, Egor Efremov and Anniele. Several demos were posted on their SoundCloud between March and July 2019. Their only album Another Life was released on 2 November 2019. It was preceded by the singles "Destroyed", "Hypnotize", and "Extra Terrestrial". Blank and Efremov left the band in late 2019 for various reasons. However Efremov later rejoined the band in November 2020.
2020–present: Satellites
The band took an indefinite hiatus in January 2020, releasing the new song "Free World" in August 2020. In December 2020, the band changed their name to Agent Purple. However they later dropped "Purple" from their name, continuing as plain "Agent".
The band started with Vauvision, releasing their debut single "Decadence" in April 2021. Their self-released debut album Satellites arrived on 9 July 2021.
