2 Ply Government is a punk rock band from Las Vegas [1] who formed in 1997 and performed throughout the Las Vegas Valley, playing at clubs such as the Cooler Lounge, and various other mid-sized venues. They gained a following in the mid-90s, before taking a hiatus for 17 years, reforming in 2018 with original founding members Earl Smith[2] on bass guitar and Eric Cline on vocals. Frank Further, a second-generation guitarist in 2 Ply Government (2000–2001), rejoined the band, and the band recruited False Cause[3] drummer Mitch Myskiew as their full-time drummer in 2018. 2 Ply Government is currently recording an EP for Futile Substrates Records, slated for release by Fall 2020.
