Ahmad Khaled Yaqoub Youssef Abdelrahim Al-Ali (born 1984) is a Kuwaiti football referee who officiates in the Kuwaiti Premier League. He has been a FIFA referee since 2016 and is listed on the AFC elite referee panel.[1]

Officiating career

Al-Ali began refereeing in the Kuwaiti domestic league system before making his top-flight debut in the Kuwaiti Premier League. In 2016, he received his international status and was added to the FIFA International Referees List as well as the AFC refereeing panel.[2]

Career highlights

  • AFC Asian Cup & Asian Tournaments: Al-Ali was selected as one of the match officials for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup hosted in Qatar, where he refereed high-stakes fixtures, including the semi-final match between Iran and Qatar.[3]
