Aidin Ardjomandi (Persian: آیدین ارجمندی, born 25 March 1988 in Tehran) is an Iranian designer and cartoonist.[1] Ardjomandi received several world design awards and is a member of the World Design Consortium,[2] International Design Club,[3] International Council of Creative Industries,[4] and the International Association of Designers.[5]
Professional career[edit]
Ardjomandi started his career as a designer and an editorial cartoonist in Tabnak News website[6][7][8] when he was 18 and he has won several prizes in these two fields. He is working in his own design studio as a product and lighting designer and also is the lecturer and manager of marketing at Istituto di Moda Burgo in Qatar[9] and the international relations manager of Azerbaijan Design Awards,[10] permanent International Bureau of Service Providers[11] and Alliance of International Business Associations[12] and official author of Design Adage website.[13]
Celloridoo[edit]
In 2015 he won A’DESIGN Award[14][15] by inventing a new brand musical instrument, the Celloridoo,[16] which was a hybrid one by a combination of Cello and the Didgeridoo. The aerophone part of Celloridoo is played with continuously vibrating lips to produce the drone while using a special breathing technique called circular breathing.[17] This requires breathing in through the nose whilst simultaneously expelling stored air out of the mouth using the tongue and cheeks and the chordophone part is played with a bow. A chordophone needs a Pegbox, a neck and a resonance box, and an aerophone needs a pipe and a mouthpiece so the pipe under the mouthpiece became to peg box and neck to install finger board on it, and the lowest part of it became to a resonance box to install bridges, holes and keep the strings.[18][19][20][21][22][23][24]
Fariborz[edit]
His Instagram based comics and animations, has been awarded in A’design awards competition in the animation category in 2017.[25] "Fariborz & company" is the story of a small blue creature named Fariborz who is living with his friend, Behrang, the yellow creature and the ghost of his grandfather in the office of a Cartoonist, Aidin, in Tehran. Fariborz is a curious creature who becomes involved in social and philosophic cases in which he wants to find a persuasive answer for those by getting help from his friends.[26]
