Ainaa, a program of Nepali television is aired on Kantipur Television. The title of third season is tagged with Mirror to Nepali Society. It was launched in January 2021.[2] It features real interviews with people who have been affected by the show, on a deeper, personal level.[3] On the whole, the program aims to irradiate burning problems of Nepalese society like rape, child marriage, etc by bringing it to common public and concerned authority.[3] Raising such social and humanitarian issues, the show remains one of the popular shows on YouTube in Nepal.[4]
The program has been produced with the help of Global IME Bank, Binod Chaudhary's Chaudhary Foundateion and ING Group.[1]
Production team[edit]
Aman Pratap Adhikari is the director. Janak Poudyal is the producer. Prakash Lamichhane is in the research team while Anvika Giri is the script writer. The program has been produced with the help of Global IME Bank, Binod Chaudhary's Chaudhary Foundation and ING Group.[1]
Bishwa Prakash Sharma remains the presenter of the program who is also the spokesperson of ruling party of Nepal, The Nepali Congress.[5] The show is often compared to Satyamev Jayate while presenter Sharma is thought to have been influenced by Amir Khan who ran it in an Indian version with a similar goal.[6]
Sharma says;"This is not a program run by a Congress spokesperson. It has no political color. I am the presenter."[1]
Remove when verified[edit]
Please don't hesitate to verify this. I have added citations from sources which wikipedia identifies as notable like The Kathmandu Post, Setopati, Gorakhapatra, etc.[1][6][5][7][3][2] What more is needed to prove notability? There are articles on other programmes that air on Kantipur. This is a major one and an initiative by the only billionaire of Nepal, IME group and ING group.[7] Still, is it unnotable or are you arguing it's notability?
This program is similar to Satyamev Jayate ran by Amir Khan.[6] Here, the presenter talks with the one affected, brings experiences in public and questions same to high officials. Even the Ex-primeminister of Nepal and a leader of governing alliance of Nepal, Puspa Kamal Dahal was interviewed on same in the previous week. So, why isn't this notable? Please don't try to ignore. Just see the YouTube channel. It is self sufficient to prove notability.[4]
