Aiplex Software is a company based in Vijayanagar, Bangalore, India[1] contracted by the MPAA[2] to deliver copyright notices to websites that they deem violate copyright laws, and distributed denial-of-service attacks (DDoS) to such sites if they fail to remove the offending content.[3] Both Aiplex Software and the MPAA were subjected to a DDoS attack themselves as a result of said contract.[4] This company is responsible for getting DMCA complying torrents and file hosting websites banned at Indian ISP. In addition to the Bangalore office, Aiplex also has an office in Ixelles, Brussels, Belgium.[1]

Aiplex has engaged in Distributed Denial of Service attacks against various websites that host torrents.[5] In September 2011, Aiplex began sending requests to bloggers to remove the content and links of articles that reported on Aiplex's use of DDoS attacks, claiming that such media coverage was "defaming the company’s image & its prospects."[6][7]
