Airlines Manager 2
Airlines Manager 2 is a video game in the genre of business simulation game, focused on managing an airline company, developed and published by Playrion. The game was released in 2013 on the Internet as a sequel to the original Airlines Manager. On October 23, 2015, it was launched on the Play Store for Android and a few days later on the App Store for iOS. The app is available under the name Airlines Manager: Tycoon 2022.[1]
Gameplay
The game features most well-known aircraft models, such as the Airbus A380 or the Boeing 747-400, as well as 2,600 airports including Paris Charles de Gaulle and New York John F. Kennedy Airport.[2][3]
At the beginning, the player starts with $300,000,000, and the goal is to own as many airline routes, aircraft, and generate as much revenue as possible to climb the leaderboard.
In the classic mode, in-game time progresses in real time, mirroring real-world duration.[3]
In the accelerated mode, players earn money faster, deliveries are quicker, but the duration is limited to one month, unlike the endless classic mode.[4]
As the game progresses, the player can unlock features such as cargo aircraft or various services that enhance the company's reputation.
Legacy
The game is developed in France. It is recognized in several countries, including by the IATA, which recommends the game to economics students preparing for a future in the aviation industry.[5]
It has also been presented with great success at the Paris Air Show and at the Paris Games Week.[6] [7] [8] Initially, the game gathered only 100,000 players.[6] By 2018, it had over 1.3 million active accounts.[3]
