His most popular music tracks Come Closer and Affection were featured in the Top 100 Pop & Hip Hop songs in iTunes in 2020.[1] Akash's music style is an amalgamation of hip hop, pop melodies and elements of Indian beats.[2]
His bold presentation of blending masculinity with femininity was recognized by Hip Hop Weekly while naming him as a promising Indian superstar.[3] Akash had also featured in 50 Cent's blog as one of the "Must Listen To Indie Artists of 2021."[4] In February 2020, he was credited to be the first Indian-origin artist to have a billboard in Times Square for his song Come Closer.[5][6] He has been touring in India since 2019 and has engaged with the youth by performing in colleges in the country.
