Akash Dhanurkar

Akash Dhanurkar[1] is an Indian author and a Journalist, from Pune, who kickstarted his writing career at the age of 22 with his first book, 'Kanya - a green ocean of regression![2]'. He has, so far, authored two books, 'Kanya'[3] & 'Living Letter'[4]. 'Living Letter'[5] is his recent addition, which is a pocket size copy and short story. Both of his books are based on the subject of mental health[2]. He dedicated his first book to his late sister, Varsha Dhanurkar, while his second book to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

At the age of 22, he lost his real sister to depression. Soon after that he began a campaign to help people fight depression under the banner of 'Hear the Unheard'[6]. He has been interviewed by newspapers like Hindustan Times and Indian Express for his literary work. He is a student of Indiras School of Communication and kickstarted his career with a Pune based weekly newspaper, 'Pune Pulse'[7] as a Trainee Reporter. At the age of 24, he received an award of COVID Warrior by the Maharashtra Journalist Association. His news coverage has been backed by the citizens and also hammered a social impact against the wrongful governance.
