Dr. Akuma Divine Saningong is a Cameroonian-German keynote speaker, author, and molecular biotechnologist.[2][3][4][5]

Education and research[edit]

Saningong studied Biotechnology at the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, where he graduated in 2004. He later earned a master's degree in Molecular Biotechnology from the Technical University Munich (TUM), focusing on epigenetics.[6][7]

He completed a Ph.D. at the University of Duisburg-Essen from 2006 to 2010. His research was about Par14 and Par17 proteins and how they interact with chromatin.[8][9]

Career[edit]

In 2007, Saningong joined EurA AG as an innovation manager and head of research and development. He worked there until 2015.[10]

In 2020, he created the Epi-Health Innovation and Research Network to use technology and biology to improve health.[11]

In 2021, Saningong founded KAC-Afrika GmbH, an initiative to encourage economic cooperation between Africa and Europe.[12][13]

Saningong has spoken at various international events, including TEDx talks and the World Biotechnology Congress in Berlin.[14][15][16]

Recognition[edit]

Saningong was named in African Heritage Magazine's list of "100 Most Influential Africans in Germany" in 2015 and 2016.[17]
