Akuma Divine Saningong is a Cameroonian-German keynote speaker, author and natural scientist.[1][2][3][4] He is known for his contributions to bridging science and personal development.[5][6]

Early life and education[edit]

Saningong was born in Cameroon.[7][8][9] He completed his undergraduate studies in Biotechnology at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences in 2004.[7][8][9] Later, he pursued a master's degree in Molecular Biotechnology from the Technical University of Munich (TUM).[10][8][9] During his studies, he conducted research on Epigenetics.[11]

He then completed his Ph.D. thesis titled "Functional Studies on Par14/Par17 with Emphasis on Chromatin, The Cell Cycle, and Protein-Protein Interactions" at the University of Duisburg-Essen, from 2006 to 2010.[12][13][14][15][16][8]

Career[edit]

In 2007, Saningong founded Kamerun4AfrikaClub (KAC), a non-profit providing education and vocational training for youth in Cameroon and Africa.[17][10][18][9][19][20]

He served as an innovation manager and head of research and development at EurA AG until 2015, focusing on international collaborations in biotech innovation, particularly in waste management and environmental solutions.[21][22]

In 2020, Saningong initiated and led the Epi-Health Innovation and Research Network, focusing on advancing technology and biological research to advance health outcomes.[21] Additionally, he led the "Afrika-Digital-Energie" initiative, receiving funding from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK).

In 2021, he founded KAC-Afrika GmbH to promote collaboration in research and development between African and European companies.[23]

Saningong has spoken at various international conferences and institutions, including TEDx talks and keynote addresses at events like the World Biotechnology Congress in Berlin.[24][25][26][27][28][29][30] The topics covered range from epigenetics and health to personal growth.[24][25][26][27][31]

Recognition[edit]

Saningong was named among the "100 Most Influential Africans" in Germany in 2015 and 2016 by the African Heritage magazine.[24][32][9][33]
