Al-Nahrain” is one of the historic mosques of Old Sana'a, located in the Bab al-Sabah neighborhood and overlooks al-Sayla, whose name is attributed to the area in which it was built, as it is so famous The name since the issuance of Islam..[1][2] Historians also narrated that a tomb was found in the two rivers since the era of the Caliphate.

It was expanded by Muhammad bin Ali Sharif from the supervision of Dhahban in about the middle of the thirteenth century. [2] and renewed the building of Sahha Hajj Ali Al-Wazzan in the year AH 1311 (1893/1894). [2] The mosque has two schools on its eastern and western sides for teaching Islamic legal sciences. The mosque was also famous for the flag circles that were held by the late Yemeni scholar Hamoud Abbas Al-Moayad, held in the mosque Friday prayer held by the scholar Yahya Al-Dailami. The mosque is a scientific beacon in which many scholars have studied in the fields of jurisprudence language and fundamentals of religion, including Sheikh al-Muqira Muhammad Husayn Amir.[3][4]
