The Muslim Mosque Association is the oldest mosque in the United States west of the Mississippi River, at 411 V St. in Downtown Sacramento, California.[1][2] It now has a community composed of at least nine mosques, several Islamic schools and a Muslim cemetery. Leaders of the community estimate 35,000 Muslims live in the Sacramento area.[3]
